BanyuleCity Council is seeking a skilled and community focused Community ConnectorOfficer to support residents with diverse and sometimes complex needs. In thisvaried role, you will provide accessible service navigation, advocacy, referrals and practical support while building strong partnerships across Council, community organisations and service providers.

As a Community Connector, you will playacrucial role in our Community Connections unit. Working as one of Banyule'sCommunity Connectors, you will help connect community members with information, services and local opportunities, while building strong relationships with residents, community organisations and service providers across the municipality. You’ll:
- Makea tangible impact in people's lives by helping residents navigate services, overcome barriers and access the support they need, particularly those experiencing vulnerability, isolation, housing insecurity or complexcircumstances.
- Be a connector and community builderwith the opportunity to work across Council, local organisations, communitygroups and service providers to strengthen partnerships and improve outcomesfor the Banyule community.
- Work in a diverse and dynamic rolethat combines direct community support, outreach, community development, partnership building, advocacy, service planning and project work. No two daysare the same.
- Balance strategic and frontlinework, combining direct engagement with residents alongside partnershipmanagement, service mapping, outreach and community planning activities.
What you'll bring/what we are looking for
You will bring a respectful, inclusive and person-centred approach, along with the ability to work confidently with people from a wider range of backgrounds and circumstances. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiaryqualifications in social sciences, social work, health, community developmentor a related field and/or a minimum of three years of experience in similarrole.
- Experiencein working with people with complex needs and ability to understand and work effectively with people of differentabilities, cultures and socio-economic circumstances.
- Knowledgeand/or understanding of service systems including Ageing, Disability, MentalHealth, Community and Wellbeing services.
- Experience planning, delivering and evaluating programs that uplift community outcomes, with a focus on inclusion, access and equity.
- Demonstrated ability to work independentlyand collaboratively with a diverse range of people, including colleagues, organisations and members of the community.
- Demonstratedexperiencing dealing with complex community issues and applying an intersectional lens to problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain web based information on local services.

What we offer:
- A permanent, full-time, position with hybrid working and a monthly RDO
- Salary $101,202.68 to $110,025.50 (dependent onexperience) per annum plus super
- 26weeks of paid parental leave -primary carer/4 weeks of paid parental leave– partner
