About the Opportunity
Join Council’s Engineering Development & Delivery Branch and help shape practical infrastructure outcomes for the Mildura region. In this role, you will investigate, design and estimate road, drainage and other capital works projects, using tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D while collaborating with internal teams, authorities and community stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical and problem-solving skills across varied projects that deliver lasting value for our community.
What you will bring
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering with little experience, or no formal qualifications but with relevant skills and experience within Civil Engineering, specifically road and drainage design.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the design of road and drainage works.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate, problem solve and provide solutions to Civil Engineering issues.
- Ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A current Driver’s Licence.
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $80,057.64 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
