An established civil contractor is continuing to grow its civil delivery team on the Gold Coast and is looking for an experienced Project Manager - Civil to join the business.
This is a hands-on project delivery role suited to a Project Manager with a solid background in roads, pavements and general civil construction .
You will take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing civil construction projects from commencement through to completion
- Roads, pavements and associated civil infrastructure
- Earthworks, drainage and supporting civil works
- Project programming and planning
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Cost control and commercial performance
- Client and stakeholder management
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification
- Supporting the continued growth of the civil division
About You
We are looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager with genuine contractor-side experience across civil construction. Accepting applications from Senior Project Engineers looking to step up into Project Management.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing civil construction projects
- Strong roads and pavement experience
- Experience managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle
- Strong commercial and financial management skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and delivery teams
- Strong client and stakeholder management capabilities
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Relevant engineering or construction qualifications
Contractor-side civil construction experience is essential.
