Careers, Pathways and Future Readiness Coordinator
The College is seeking a Careers, Pathways and Future Readiness Coordinator to join the College community commencing in Term 1, 2027. The Careers, Pathways and Future Readiness Coordinator ensures every student understands herself, discovers possibilities, makes informed choices and transitions confidently from school into a future where she can flourish and contribute to the world. The Coordinator leads the College’s approach to careers education, pathways planning and post-school readiness across Years 7 to 12. The role builds career awareness and aspirational learning as a continuous, developmentally sequenced experience, working in close partnership with the MYBennies Coordinator and the REAL Coordinator to connect the school experience to post-school readiness programs and Senior School pathways provision.
ESSENTIAL
- Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA Registration
- Proven attention to detail and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to document, implement and monitor long and short-term strategic goals and plans
- A highly motivated attitude to work with the ability to seek out solutions and pro-actively problem solve
- A genuine passion and interest in working long-term in an independent school
- Commitment to the process of continuous improvement
- Sound IT skills including use of the Microsoft suite and a database system
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Demonstrated experience designing or delivering career/pathways programs across multiple year levels, not solely senior years
- Current or willingness to obtain membership of a recognised professional careers association
- Ability to utilize and evaluate relevant data
- Willingness and experience in establishing meaningful connections outside college with stakeholders including TAFE, Private providers, Universities, Apprenticeships and training organisations
DESIRABLE
- An understanding of the charism of Good Samaritan Education as articulated in the Good Samaritan Schools Teaching and Learning Framework and the Valuable Samaritan Schools Mission Framework
- Significant experience in leadership in one or more schools
- A proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent IT skills including use of the Microsoft suite and a School database system
- Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR
- Experience partnering with Middle School transition, wellbeing or post-school readiness programs
