Ready to make a real impact on safety?

Marsh Alliance is looking for an experienced WHS Coordinator to take ownership of safety across our manufacturing operations.

We want to be upfront – we need someone who knows their stuff. As our lead WHS professional, you’ll be the business’s primary source of WHS expertise and will have the autonomy to identify priorities and drive improvement.

We have safety systems and processes in place, but we know there is work to do. We need an experienced WHS professional who can come in with fresh eyes, identify risks and gaps, tell us what good looks like and help us get there.

Our operations involve manufacturing machinery, plant and equipment, so identifying hazards, conducting effective risk assessments and ensuring the right controls are in place will be a major focus.

This isn't about maintaining the status quo. We want someone who can help us raise the standard.

You’ll be primarily based at Carole Park, with occasional visits to our Burleigh Heads manufacturing site.

Why Join Marsh Alliance?

- Full-time or part-time – we're flexible for the right person
- Early finish Friday's for our full-time team
- Report directly to the CEO
- Genuine opportunity to influence change
- Lead our journey towards ISO 45001
- Australian-owned manufacturing business with 70+ years of history
- Employee Assistance Program
- Onsite parking

What You'll Take Ownership Of

Your focus is simple: identify risk, close gaps and improve how we manage safety.

- Hazard identification, risk assessments and control reviews, particularly around machinery and plant
- Reviewing our current WHS systems and identifying priorities for improvement
- Improving safe systems of work across our manufacturing operations
- Incident investigations,

root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- WHS inspections, compliance and core documentation
- Supporting managers and supervisors to take greater ownership of safety
- Driving our progression towards ISO 45001 certification (we have already passed our Stage 1 audit)

About You

This isn't an entry-level WHS role. We're looking for someone who can walk into a manufacturing environment and confidently determine what needs attention.

You'll Bring

- Strong WHS experience in manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial workplace
- Strong experience with machinery and plant safety
- Demonstrated capability in hazard identification and risk assessment
- Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS requirements and the hierarchy of controls
- Experience with incident investigation and root-cause analysis
- Confidence challenging existing practices when something isn't right
- A practical approach and strong follow-through
- Experience with ISO 4501, WHS auditing, hazardous chemicals, contractor management or Ideagen EHS/Lucidity would be highly regarded.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a good eye for risk who can work comfortably with everyone from operators on the factory floor through to our CEO.

About Marsh Alliance

For more than 70 years, Marsh Alliance has manufactured precision springs and engineered metal components for customers across Australia and internationally.

We're an Australian-owned business built on Honesty , Integrity and Care , with manufacturing operations at Carole Park and Burleigh Heads.

We're investing in our operations, systems and people – and we're ready to take the next step in safety.

If you're an experienced WHS professional who enjoys identifying risk, solving problems and seeing tangible improvements, we'd love to hear from you.

Full-time and part-time applications are welcome, with flexible working arrangements available for the right candidate.
