We are currently seeking an experienced Taxation Advisory Officer to join a NSW Government team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance.
This is a part time opportunity working 21 hours per week across 3 days, with a hybrid arrangement including 2 days working from home.
About the role
You will provide taxation support and advice across a range of matters, with a focus on individual, trust and estate tax returns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing high-volume individual, trust and estate tax returns
- Checking and reviewing Notices of Assessment
- Responding to income tax queries
- Managing and responding to ATO correspondence
- Providing accurate and timely taxation advice and support
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in taxation, tax accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Australian income tax requirements
- Experience preparing tax returns, ideally across individuals, trusts and estates
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage high-volume work within deadlines
