Total Disaster Recovery is seeking experienced Restoration Technicians and Restoration Labourers to join our dynamic team in Brisbane, QLD. These are full-time positions that play critical roles in our restoration and recovery operations. As either a Restoration Technician or Restoration Labourer, you will be at the forefront of our disaster recovery efforts, helping property owners and businesses recover from water damage, fire damage, mould remediation, and other restoration challenges. Your work will directly impact our clients' ability to rebuild their lives and operations, making this a meaningful and rewarding career path within the trades and services industry.

What you'll be doing

- Responding to emergency disaster calls and attending client sites to assess damage and begin restoration work
- Performing water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialised equipment
- Assisting with fire damage cleanup, including removal of damaged materials and debris management
- Supporting mould remediation projects, including identification, containment, and removal
- Operating and maintaining restoration equipment such as pumps, dehumidifiers, air movers, and cleaning systems
- Preparing work areas, protecting unaffected areas, and ensuring site safety compliance
- Documenting work progress and maintaining detailed records for clients and insurance purposes
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards
- Following health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Loading and unloading equipment and materials from vehicles

What we’re looking for

- Trade qualifications or relevant certifications in restoration, water damage remediation, fire restoration, or related fields
- IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certification in Water (WRT) as a minimum
- Previous experience working as a restoration technician,



labourer, or in a similar trade-based role
- Sound knowledge of restoration techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures within the industry
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to assess damage and plan restoration approaches
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to respond to emergency calls
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

Restoration Labourers Between Brisbane And Gold Coast - Junior Rates Apply

- Minimum of 1-2 years as a labourer within the Restoration Industry.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., White Card) preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to quality workmanship.
- Current driver's license
- Construction White Card or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
- Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Tech-savvy with strong computer literacy
- Basic email and internet skills required as minimum computer literacy level
- Physically fit
