Why work at Discovery?

An Exceeding-rated service Join a team that has been recognised as Exceeding the National Quality Standard across all seven Quality Areas. Quality practice isn't something we simply talk about — it is embedded in the way we work every day.

Locally owned and operated Discovery is a stand-alone, locally owned service. We value genuine relationships, connection to our community and having leadership that is present, accessible and involved in the day-to-day operation of the centre.

We are committed to staffing above ratio We believe quality education and care requires educators to have the time and support to build meaningful relationships with children. Our commitment to staffing above minimum educator-to-child ratios provides greater support across our rooms and helps create a more positive environment for both children and educators.

A strong, experienced team You’ll work alongside qualified and experienced educators, Room Leaders, our Educational Leader and leadership team in a culture that values collaboration, reflection and professional growth.

Time and support for quality practice We want our educators to be able to focus on children, relationships and meaningful learning, not simply getting through the day. Our staffing approach, leadership structure and professional support reflect this.

Engaging learning environments Our indoor and outdoor environments are thoughtfully developed to support children’s curiosity, independence, creativity and connection with their world.

A centre connected to its community Community involvement is an important part of Discovery. Our children and educators participate in meaningful partnerships, local experiences and programs that extend learning beyond the centre.
