New Graduate Speech Pathologist | Exceptional Support & Gradual Caseload

Looking for a graduate Speech Pathology role where you’ll have the time, support and experienced clinicians around you to build your confidence?

Join an well-established speech pathology clinic in Southport offering a highly supported start to your career. You’ll receive structured onboarding, weekly 1:1 supervision and access to experienced clinical support throughout your working week - with your caseload building gradually as your competence and confidence develop.

Why You’ll Love This Role

- Structured Graduate Onboarding: Spend your first 2-4 weeks learning the clinic, systems, resources and clinical approach, with opportunities for observation and shadowing before your client responsibilities progressively increase.
- Gradual Caseload Build: Develop your caseload over approximately 3-6 months, based on your competence, confidence and workload – not arbitrary weekly targets.
- Exceptional Clinical Support: Receive weekly 1:1 supervision with a Senior Speech Pathologist with more than 30 years of clinical experience, plus access to clinical guidance and case discussions throughout the working week.
- 45+ Years of Combined Experience: Benefit from an immediate clinical team that also includes a Senior Therapy Assistant with approximately 15 years’ experience within the clinic.
- Professional Development: $1,000 annual PD allowance, appropriate PD leave and access to extensive established clinical resources and therapy materials.
- Career Development: Participate in group therapy,

contribute to program and resource development, and progressively develop areas of clinical interest.
- Strong Admin Support: An experienced administration and management team supports appointments, diaries and client administration, allowing you to focus on your clinical work.

Your Graduate Development

You won’t be expected to walk in and immediately manage a full caseload.

Your first few weeks will focus on learning clinic systems, documentation requirements, therapy programs and resources, alongside observation and shadowing.

You’ll then progressively begin seeing clients appropriate to your experience and confidence, initially focusing on more straightforward presentations and established clients where suitable.

Over approximately 3-6 months , you’ll work towards an established caseload of around 25 client sessions per week , subject to client complexity and your individual development.

Importantly, support extends beyond your weekly supervision session. You’ll have access to clinical guidance throughout the working week for case discussions, assessment, treatment planning and more complex presentations.

Develop Your Career

As your skills and confidence grow, you’ll have opportunities to:

- Observe,

participate in and progressively co-facilitate established group therapy programs
- Build experience in group facilitation and social communication intervention
- Contribute to therapy program and resource development
- Develop areas of clinical interest and specialisation over time

Once established in the role, a performance-based bonus system also provides the opportunity to earn additional remuneration.

Your Working Setting

- Predominantly clinic-based role with very limited travel
- Large, well-equipped therapy rooms and specialised group spaces
- Extensive established clinical resources and therapy materials
- Disability kitchen
- Free onsite parking
- Administrative support throughout the working day
- Flexibility around scheduling by agreement
- Optional Saturday work paid at the applicable higher rate

If you’re looking for a graduate role where you can build your clinical skills at a sustainable pace, learn from an experienced team and have support available throughout your working week, this is an opportunity to start your Speech Pathology career with strong foundations.
