About the Role:
Applications are sought from suitably qualified HIS/ED Clerk to work in the HIS team at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Registration of patient and data entry of emergency department and Inpatient attendances including admissions, transfers and discharges at ERH
- Preparation, assembly and maintenance of patient records for theatre lists, pre-admission clinic, antenatal bookings, outpatient, emergency and inpatient attendances.
- Forwarding of information to general practitioners, funeral directors, health organisations and third parties as requested
- Collation and data entry of accurate statistical and morbidity data for statutory reporting to VEMD and VAED data collections
- Reception and clerical duties in Acute and Subacute Ward areas
- Ordering supplies on Oracle Procurement system
Qualifications/experience required:
- Competency & previous experience in computer work, preferably using a patient management system
- Customer focussed and able to work well in a team environment
- Experience in working with confidential information and a commitment to maintaining privacy

Pre-Employment Requirements
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working with Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. Vaccination status in line with policy and procedure at this time. Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Work Rights to be eligible. Financial support towards VISAS is not available.
