Truck Body Builder Fabricator Welder for small, Repairs & Maintenance

Ultimate Truck Bodies is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Body Builder Fabricator Welder to join our team in Salisbury, QLD. This is a full-time position based at our Salisbury facility, where you will play a crucial role in the fabrication, welding, and repair of truck bodies and components. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and delivering exceptional results to our customers. You will work on a variety of projects, ranging from small repairs and maintenance tasks to custom fabrication work, contributing directly to the success of our business.

What you'll be doing

Fabricating truck body components and structures using various materials including steel and aluminium

Performing precision welding work to join components, ensuring structural integrity and quality standards

Conducting repairs and maintenance on existing truck bodies and components

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications

Operating fabrication equipment and tools including MIG welders, TIG welders, plasma cutters, and grinders

Measuring and marking materials for accurate cutting and fabrication

Quality checking work to ensure compliance with safety standards and customer specifications

Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols

Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and requirements

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a truck body builder, fabricator, or welder in the automotive trades industry

Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding

Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques





Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Competency in using fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and effectively

Physical fitness and ability to work in standing and bending positions for extended periods

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in welding or fabrication are highly valued

Experience with small repairs and maintenance work is essential
