Timber Production Leading Hand - Laminating Shed
Ironwood Australia welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, including women, interested in building their skills and developing a career in timber manufacturing.
No previous timber experience is required, with training provided for the right person.
Are you practical, reliable and organised, with an interest in learning new skills and taking on greater responsibility?
Ironwood Australia is seeking a hands‑on Timber Production Operator: Laminating Shed to join our timber manufacturing operation at Pampoolah.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in doing things properly, enjoys practical work and is ready to develop specialist timber manufacturing skills while taking ownership of an important production area.
Full training in Ironwood’s specialist processes will be provided.
About the Role
Based on site at Ironwood Australia’s Pampoolah mill, this is a hands‑on production role working within our Laminating Shed across a range of specialist timber manufacturing processes. You’ll be involved in:
- finger jointing,
- gluing and laminating beams,
- engineered flooring production,
- sanding,
- milling and other timber processing activities
Importantly, we’re looking for someone who can take real ownership of the area. You’ll help keep the Laminating Shed clean, organised and running efficiently, support the team with daily priorities and develop into a key person within the shed who can help bring the team together and maintain consistent standards.
You don’t need to have worked across all of these specialist processes before. If you are practical, organised, reliable, comfortable learning to work with machinery and take pride in maintaining a clean and well‑run workspace, we’d encourage you to apply.
For someone looking to learn new skills and take the next step into leadership, this is an opportunity to build specialist timber manufacturing capability while taking greater responsibility within a growing regional business.
