Precision Agriculture Technical Support Specialist (Phone Support)

PSS Ag is a specialist agricultural technology business helping farmers and contractors get more from their planting, seeding and precision agriculture equipment.

We are seeking a tech-savvy and customer-focused Precision Agriculture Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first line of phone and remote technical support for growers, agronomists, and equipment operators using our precision farming hardware and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

Answer incoming calls from customers and field staff to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to precision ag hardware, displays, GPS/GNSS guidance systems, and farm management software

Seamlessly switch between different software platforms, cloud applications, diagnostic tools, and ticketing databases to track customer interactions and resolve technical issues efficiently

Translate technical terminology into practical, easy-to-understand instructions for users with varying levels of technology experience

Document all support interactions in detail using CRM/ticketing system and follow up on open support tickets

Escalate complex cases to field service specialists or software engineering teams when necessary

Assist operators with initial software setup, cloud sync calibration, data transfer, and account maintenance over the phone or via remote desktop tools





Stay current on product updates, firmware releases, and new software features across the precision ag tech suite

About you

Comfort and proficiency with navigating multiple computer software programs, operating systems, mobile apps, and web dashboards simultaneously

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a calm, patient, and empathetic phone manner

Strong critical thinking and logical troubleshooting ability under pressure, especially during busy planting and harvest seasons

Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, CRM/ticketing software, and remote diagnostic tools

High dedication to resolving customer issues quickly to minimize operational downtime in the field

Prior experience in phone support, helpdesk, or customer service role (preferred)

Background or familiarity with agriculture, farm operations, display monitors, or precision agriculture technology such as GPS guidance, telemetry, or variable rate control (preferred)
