About the Role
Are you a skilled AV Systems Technician, Commercial Installer, or Service Engineer who takes pride in delivering pristine audio-visual experiences?
We are a premier AV System Integrator seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented AV Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-end corporate and commercial AV systems.
From boardrooms and interactive hybrid spaces to large-scale video walls and integrated control systems, you will bring cutting-edge AV solutions to life for our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install, wire, rack-build, and mount AV hardware including commercial displays, video walls, ceiling microphones, line arrays, PTZ cameras, and control processors.
- Service & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, signal path, IP/networking, and control system issues on site and remotely.
- Commissioning & Handover: Perform system testing, basic signal tuning (DSP/AV), software loading, and conduct client walk-throughs and handovers.
- Documentation & Cable Management: Maintain immaculate cable management, accurate floor plan markups, as-built documentation, and service reports.
- Client Collaboration: Liaise with site managers, builders, IT departments, and client representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Industry Experience: 2–4+ years of hands-on technical experience in commercial AV installation, service, or integration.
- Technical Hardware & Systems Familiarity:
- Control Systems: Crestron, AMX, Extron, or Q-SYS.
- Unified Communications (UC): Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex.
- Audio & DSPs: QSC / Q-SYS, Biamp Tesira, Shure, Dante networking.
- Video Distribution: Crestron NVX, Extron NAV, AVoIP systems.
- Networking & Cabling: Strong understanding of structured cabling (Cat6/Fiber), IP networking basics for AV, and signal flow troubleshooting.
- Licenses & Tickets: Valid Driver’s License and White Card / Construction Safety Induction ticket (Security license or ACMA cabling registration highly regarded).
- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving ability, neat craftsmanship, and excellent interpersonal skills.
