Our client is a highly respected, purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation with a strong history of supporting people and communities across Queensland. With an established brand, committed workforce and passionate supporter base, the organisation delivers services that make a meaningful and lasting difference to the lives of the people it supports.
As the organisation continues to evolve, there is a strong focus on growing philanthropic income, deepening relationships with donors and partners, and strengthening the foundations required to support future strategic initiatives. This creates an exciting prospect for an experienced philanthropy professional to shape and lead the next phase of its fundraising strategy.
About the position
Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of five philanthropy professionals, the Philanthropy Manager will provide both strategic and operational leadership across a diverse high-value fundraising portfolio. This includes major gifts, trusts and foundations, government and philanthropic grants, mid-value giving, prospect development and future capital campaign readiness.
The role will develop and deliver a multi-year philanthropy strategy, build a strong and qualified donor pipeline, secure significant and transformational gifts, and strengthen long-term relationships with donors and philanthropic partners. Importantly,
the position will also establish and grow the organisation’s mid-value giving program and build the strategy, prospect pipeline, governance and revenue planning required for a future capital campaign.
About the person
You will be an experienced philanthropy or fundraising leader with a demonstrated track record of growing philanthropic revenue and securing significant gifts, including six-figure donations. You will bring solid knowledge of major gifts, donor development, trusts and foundations, prospect management and philanthropic funding, together with the strategic, commercial and analytical capability to develop sustainable pipelines, manage revenue targets and provide meaningful forecasting and performance insights.
An accomplished relationship builder and people leader, you will have the credibility and communication skills to engage high-net-worth individuals, trustees, senior executives, Board members and other influential stakeholders. You will also bring high emotional intelligence, integrity and professional judgement, with proven experience coaching and developing high-performing fundraising teams. Experience with capital campaigns, mid-value giving programs, established Queensland philanthropic networks and/or the not-for-profit, disability, health or human services sectors will be highly regarded.
