School Overview

The School Carcoola Primary School (PS) is located approximately four kilometres north of Pinjarra. The school, which still manages to retain a 'country' feel, is part of the South Metro Education Region and Murray Waroona Network. We are a small school with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that prioritises the individual needs of students. Carcoola PS promotes a safe, caring and happy environment where students recognise and strive to achieve their potential and develop the skills and attitudes to become lifelong learners. Find out more about our school by visiting Carcoola Primary School or Schools Online.

Role

We are ideally seeking an experienced classroom teacher who is committed to high-quality, evidence-based practice and achieving strong outcomes for all students. Applicants who are Classroom Management Strategies trained, display a genuine growth mindset, and have experience supporting neurodiverse students are strongly encouraged to apply. As a Positive Behaviour Support and Shaping Minds school, we value teachers who use explicit, consistent and evidence-based approaches to teaching, learning and classroom management, and who are willing to reflect on and continually strengthen their practice. As a small school, collaboration and team fit are particularly important to us. We are ideally looking for a teacher who values working closely with colleagues, contributes positively to whole-school initiatives and is willing to share expertise, seek feedback and support others.

The successful applicant should build strong relationships with students, staff and families and see themselves as an active member of the broader school community, not simply their individual classroom.
