Community Nurse (Casual) - Bring Your Heart to Work in the Hawkesbury, Hills & Blue Mountains

Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse who wants to step away from the rigid environment of hospitals and facility-based care?

At Nurse Next Door Hawkesbury Hills, we believe in making lives better. We are looking for an experienced, community-minded nurse with strong clinical skills in wound care and catheterisation to join our team on a casual basis. This is your opportunity to work locally, enjoy genuine flexibility, and build meaningful, one-on-one relationships with clients in the Hawkesbury, Hills, and Blue Mountains regions.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

We know that happy nurses provide the best care. We are dedicated to supporting our team members and actively promoting a healthy work-life balance.

- True Flexibility: Casual hours that work around your life, family, and other commitments.

- A Culture of Caring: A supportive, highly collaborative clinical team and management structure that actually listens.

- Growth opportunities: Ongoing professional development and training opportunities to keep your clinical skills sharp.

- Competitive Pay: Attractive remuneration that reflects your expertise and dedication.

The Role

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care directly to clients in their own homes. You won't just be treating patients; you will be empowering them to live independently and with dignity.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and developing highly individualised care plans.

- Delivering expert nursing interventions, heavily focused on advanced wound management, catheterisation, and medication administration.

- Monitoring client health, evaluating outcomes, and proactively escalating any changes to the wider clinical team.

- Collaborating with GPs, allied health professionals, and families to ensure seamless, coordinated care.

- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with industry best practices.

What You Bring to the Team

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a community nursing, home care, or aged care setting.

- Confident, demonstrated, and up-to-date expertise in wound care management and catheterisation.

- Strong clinical assessment and independent decision-making skills.

- A warm, empathetic communication style and a genuine passion for community nursing.

- The flexibility to work a casual schedule (weekend and public holiday availability is highly regarded).
