The Chance

As a Senior Process Engineer, you’ll have a key role to play as custodian and subject matter expert of Fibre Cement manufacturing processes involving different areas of the operations. With your knowledge of first principles engineering, you’ll lead complex process improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing lines to deliver measurable gains in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

This role will work closely with a team of other process engineers, and with key stakeholders throughout the business such as production and maintenance management and PCI engineers.

What you’ll do

- Lead complex, cross‑site process improvement initiatives to deliver measurable gains in efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost performance.




- Provide advanced chemical and process engineering expertise, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to innovation in manufacturing technologies and practices.
- Plan, conduct, and manage process audits, translating findings into prioritised improvement actions and ensuring timely, effective implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Projects) to influence process design and capital investment decisions that support long‑term business objectives.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, providing guidance and training to build technical capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Champion best practice sharing and standardization across all sites, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry benchmarks.
- Utilise data‑driven analysis and Lean methodologies to identify root causes, optimise processes, and deliver sustainable performance improvements.

What you’ll bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering preferably, or an equivalent discipline.
- 15+ years’ experience in a process engineering role within a complex, continuous or batch manufacturing environment.
- Deep knowledge of – or the proven ability to rapidly acquire deep knowledge of – fibre cement manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of pumps, piping systems, instrumentation, and their application within industrial operations.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving root causes of complex manufacturing performance issues (e.g., speed losses,



yield losses, quality deviations, throughput constraints).
- Able to manage internal process audit programmes, focused on auditing to set standards, and to transfer audit findings into prioritised improvement actions
- Capability to deliver hands‑on training and structured classroom‑style instruction to develop technical knowledge across operational teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influence skills, with the ability to guide decision‑making in a cross‑functional environment.
- Sound analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills, with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
