Heavy Diesel Fitters / Mobile Crushing Fitters or Experience in that Field-DIDO

MC Group is seeking experienced and reliable Heavy Diesel Fitters / Mobile Plant Mechanics to join our team. This is an opportunity for skilled tradespeople to work across our civil construction, quarrying, workshop and heavy mobile plant operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of heavy machinery, mobile plant, trucks and associated equipment.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out repairs as required.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify faults, defects and potential maintenance issues.
- Repair, replace and maintain mechanical components including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, pumps, bearings and other associated components.
- Complete breakdown repairs and respond to equipment maintenance requirements.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure equipment is maintained in a secure and serviceable condition.
- Perform welding, fabrication and general mechanical repairs where required.




- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Work safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures and site requirements.
- Liaise with supervisors and management regarding equipment condition, repairs and ongoing maintenance requirements.

About you

- A recognised Australian Diesel Fitting, Mobile Plant or Mechanical trade qualification. If you don't have Qualifications we will look at experience as an other option.
- Previous experience working on heavy mobile plant, earthmoving equipment, trucks or quarry equipment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A reliable and professional approach to your work.
- Posses the ability to DIDO to different sites, and commit to rosters.
