Leading global bank's Securities Services business in Australia is looking for a Senior Transitions Manager to lead client restructures, closures and recent business onboarding, including a significant new client onboarding.
What you'll be doing day-to-day
You'll be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of client transitions. You'll start by understanding the client's needs, including their investment managers, custodians and fund accounting requirements, then turn that into detailed transition plans and see them through. You'll coordinate internal teams (middle office, fund accounting, risk, IT) and external parties such as custodians, investment managers and trustees to deliver smooth, compliant asset transfers. You'll track settlements, corporate actions and income monitoring against agreed deadlines, and elevate delays early. You'll also mentor junior team members locally and offshore and help improve the transition framework.
What we're looking for
- Around 10+ years in financial services, with knowledge of fund accounting, unit pricing, investment administration, custody operations and investment product structures
- 5+ years in a direct transition management or similar role, with a proven track record
- Strong end-to-end project and implementation management, with sound analytical ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the negotiation skills to resolve conflicts with senior stakeholders
- Resilience and the ability to juggle multiple transitions under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite
- A degree in business, accounting or similar, or substantial industry experience
Highly regarded
- Experience with super funds or asset managers
- Experience leading or mentoring a team, including offshore
