We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our engineering workshop. The role involves operating manual lathes and a milling machine to produce quality components and complete repairs.

Key responsibilities

Operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce quality components and complete repairs

Read and interpret engineering drawings

Manufacture and repair precision components to specified tolerances

Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met

Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

Take ownership of jobs from setup through to completion

About you

Robust knowledge of turning, milling, drilling, and general machining practices

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision

Reliable and punctual

Experience with NC machines is an advantage but not essential
