We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Bathurst on a full-time basis. This is an opportunity for a skilled machinist to work within a professional production environment, contributing to precision manufacturing, quality outcomes and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with Production and Engineering teams in a collaborative workshop environment.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
- Perform precision machining and milling operations.
- Interpret engineering and technical drawings.
- Complete precision measurements and quality inspections.
- Select and manage appropriate tooling for machining operations.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup and programme issues.
- Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure finished components meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Maintain production efficiency and meet required delivery timeframes.




- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and efficiency.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace health, safety and quality standards.

Your Profile

- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a steel manufacturing environment or similar.
- Robust CNC machining and milling experience.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement and machining principles.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong mathematical aptitude relevant to machining.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider production team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
