Maintenance Fitter

The company: Australian manufacturer of insulated panels and has a industry leading product range including refrigeration panels / store units and rigid insulation.

The position: Based in Truganina. The maintenance fitter will be responsible for maintaining the plant / equipment and general facilities, ensuring that the plant is consistently in optimum working order.

The position is for immediate start and is permanent part-time 6.15am to 12.35pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include

- Daily start ups

- Machinery breakdown, trouble shooting and repairs.

- Scheduled preventative maintenance and shut down works.

- Spares ordering and workshop duties

- Some Fabrication & welding - MIG / Arc

- Robust commitment to OHS - SWMS, permit systems

- Read, understand and work off drawings

- General handyman duties

Must have





- Trade qualification as a mechanical fitter and turner or boiler maker

- Experience in a manufacturing industry in maintenance.

- Welding / fabrication knowledge

- Forklift licence.

- Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously.

- 30 hour Monday to Friday Permanent part-time position.

- Good communication skills

- Ability to do other general handyman duties
