Milestone IT is partnering with a leading Australian retail and distribution organisation to appoint a Head of SAP Supply Chain Technology.

This is a senior technology leadership prospect for an experienced SAP professional who can bridge the gap between business strategy, supply chain operations and technology delivery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's SAP supply chain technology landscape while leading a high-performing team and managing strategic technology partners.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain IT, you will be responsible for the technology relationship with the Supply Chain function, partnering closely with senior business leaders across areas including:

- Logistics and Distribution Centre Operations
- Direct Procurement
- Demand and Supply Planning
- Supply Chain Transformation
- IT and Enterprise Technology

You will lead the SAP Supply Chain technology function, ensuring technology investments and initiatives are aligned with business strategy while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and enhanced supply chain capability.

The role will also act as a key interface between the business and the organisation's outsourced Application Support and Maintenance partner.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and develop strong strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across Supply Chain and the broader business.
- Lead the delivery of SAP Supply Chain technology capabilities, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership across SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM and associated SAP SaaS platforms, including SAP Ariba and SAP IBP.




- Translate business requirements into effective technology solutions and ensure proposed designs align with enterprise and Supply Chain strategies.
- Partner with Supply Chain leaders to develop business cases and prepare the organisation for major SAP initiatives and transformation programs.
- Support project governance, stakeholder engagement, change readiness and successful adoption of new technology.
- Contribute to the evolution of the organisation's enterprise data and reporting capabilities, including integration of EWM data through Microsoft Azure and Snowflake, with visualisation through Power BI.
- Build strong partnerships across IT, ensuring a collaborative and integrated approach to technology delivery.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, high performance and innovation across Supply Chain Technology.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve Distribution Centre efficiency, reduce costs and enhance operational performance.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, service performance and delivery outcomes.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of SAP Supply Chain professionals, consultants and technology partners.
- Manage key technology vendors and outsourced support relationships.
- Ensure technology services are delivered efficiently, reliably and in line with business expectations.

About You

You will be a senior SAP and technology leader with strong experience operating at the intersection of SAP, Supply Chain and business transformation.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Proven experience leading SAP technology within a complex enterprise environment.




- At least one end-to-end SAP implementation and/or significant SAP BAU experience, ideally with SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong experience with SAP EWM, including a sound understanding of EWM architecture and supply chain processes.
- Experience with SAP supply chain solutions, ideally including SAP IBP and/or SAP Ariba.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technology outcomes.
- Strong business analysis, requirements gathering and process mapping capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and planning skills.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing teams, vendors and/or outsourced technology partners.
- A strong commercial mindset, with an understanding of how technology can improve efficiency, reduce costs and deliver business value.
