About the role

Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you'll provide accurate and timely survey services that support the safe and efficient development and production of Mt Magnet and Cue operations. Working closely with Technical Services and Operations, you'll play a key role in maintaining survey control, delivering accurate spatial data, and supporting both development and production activities across the mine. These positions are on an 16 month fixed term contract, FIFO 8:6 from Perth.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Gather accurate data to assist the Senior Mine Surveyor to generate whole of mine operation plans.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks within the open pit.
- Carry out daily surveys including pick-ups, pre-splits, blast hole patterns, and as-built surveys.
- Conduct end-of-month stockpile and pit volume surveys using drones or terrestrial equipment.
- Ensure survey data is captured, processed, and stored in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.




- Provide accurate and timely survey set-outs for pit designs, ramps, and infrastructure.
- Support drill and blast teams with pattern mark-ups and QA/QC checks.
- Ensure designs are implemented accurately on the ground, identifying and communicating any discrepancies.
- Installing appropriate control in pit, crests, toe, ramps to ensure the area is excavated to design parameters.
- Conduct pit wall, toe, and crest surveys to monitor compliance with design and geotechnical parameters.

Experience required:

- Diploma, Advanced Diploima or Tertiary Degree in Surveying

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Diploma, Advanced Diploima or Tertiary Degree in Surveying
- Previous experience in open pit mining environments.
- Proficiency in mine survey software and equipment.
- Knowledge of GPS software and equipment (Trimble)
- Knowledge of UAV processing software (Agisoft)
- Experience conducting aerial photogrammetry and/or other drone surveying is desirable.
