We are looking for a motivated individual with strong sheet metal fabrication experience and a proven background operating CNC machinery. Applicants must have previous experience operating a CNC brake press.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC brake press equipment
- Fold and form steel and sheet metal components to precise specifications
- Carry out first-class sheet metal fabrication and assembly work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, job sheets, and fabrication specifications
- Mark out, measure, cut, shape, and fabricate components
- Select appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Identify and report machine, material, or quality issues
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance
About you
- Trade qualification as a First Class Sheet Metal Worker or extensive relevant industry experience
- Previous hands-on experience operating a CNC brake press
- Strong steel fabrication and sheet metal working skills
- Ability to confidently set up and operate CNC equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
- Current driver's licence preferred
