We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsperson to join our Engineering team in Kewdale. This role is responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation that support the delivery of power generation, renewable energy and utility infrastructure projects across Australia.
Working closely with engineers and project stakeholders, you will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to commissioning and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Create accurate and detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation and other CAD software based on engineering specifications and design requirements.
- Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams (SLDs), loop diagrams and substation drawings.
- Support engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including concept development, detailed design, commissioning and operational support.
- Develop drawings in accordance with client standards, project requirements and engineering specifications.
- Liaise with engineering, operations and project delivery teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
- Review drawings and conduct quality checks in line with drafting standards and document control procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to drafting processes, standards and technology.
- Support Operations and Maintenance (O&M;) activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with Pacific Energy's HSEQ policies, procedures and Safety in Design principles.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Formal drafting qualifications, Certificate IV in Engineering Technology (Electrical) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an electrical drafting environment.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and Microsoft Office.
- Sound understanding of electrical design principles, electrical circuitry, hazardous area drawings, loop diagrams and SLDs.
- Experience with instrumentation, PLC hardware, panel design and hazardous area wiring practices.
- Strong knowledge of document control practices and engineering drawing standards.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
- High attention to detail and solid problem-solving capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, collaborative and results-oriented approach.
