Taking a gap year? Finishing University and looking for your first start?
This role is a great opportunity to gain professional office experience, with full training and one-on-one coaching provided.
Our client is a female-led Building Surveying firm based in Richmond. They're looking for an entry-level Administration Assistant to join their small, fast-paced team on a 12-month full-time contract covering maternity leave.
The role starts on 1 December 2026, which allows for a handover with the current Administration Assistant.
THE ROLE
You'll provide administrative and accounts support to the Directors and the building surveying team. A large part of the role is answering a high volume of phone calls and dealing with builders, councils and clients.
You'll also book inspections, handle project administration and data entry, prepare invoices in MYOB, help with accounts, and look after reception and general office duties.
ABOUT YOU
You don't need previous office experience. You do need to be confident on the phone,
with clear, friendly and mature communication.
Your written skills should be excellent, including formatting, grammar, spelling and attention to detail, and your CV should show this.
You present professionally, you're organised and reliable, and you're comfortable in a busy office where priorities change throughout the day.
You have exceptional IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and you're quick to learn, so we can train you on business-specific systems such as MYOB and client portals.
You must also be available full time for the 12-month contract.
WHAT'S ON OFFER
You'll gain 12 months of qualified experience in the building industry, with full training and one-on-one coaching.
The salary is in line with the Clerks Award, plus super.
