Your Opportunity

As a Business Development Consultant, you'll be the face of CVGT in the Albury community, building strong employer and community relationships that create real job opportunities for our participants.

Using your understanding of local labour market needs, you'll champion participants by promoting their strengths, challenging perceptions, and opening doors to sustainable employment. Success in this role comes from your ability to influence outcomes, identify opportunities, and remain resilient when faced with challenges.

By developing strong partnerships and understanding workforce needs, you'll connect businesses with capable candidates who have the skills, potential and determination to succeed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, creating opportunities, achieving results, and making a genuine impact in their community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build strong relationships with local employers, industry groups and community organisations to create employment opportunities.
- Identify workforce needs and proactively generate vacancies through targeted business development activities.
- Champion participants through reverse marketing, promoting their strengths and capabilities to prospective employers.




- Attend networking events and community forums to grow CVGT's presence and employer partnerships.
- Support employers and participants throughout the job placement process to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and achieve performance targets relating to employer engagement, placements and employment outcomes.

What You'll Bring

You may come from a background in business development, sales, recruitment or account management. Most importantly, you'll have the ability to:

- Build credibility and establish robust relationships with employers and stakeholders.
- Communicate confidently, influence decision-making and negotiate positive outcomes.
- Identify opportunities and take a proactive approach to business development.
- Remain resilient, adaptable and motivated when faced with challenges or setbacks.
- Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Highly proficient across a wide range of digital tools and adept at navigating multiple systems efficiently.
- Full work rights in Australia, with the ability to travel locally, obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check (NSW).
