ABOUT BARWON HEADS GOLF CLUB

With more than 1,800 members, a course recognised among Australia’s finest and a beautifully restored Clubhouse, The Barwon Heads Golf Club offers a range of dining experiences for members, guests and visitors, including Clubhouse dining, functions and special events.

We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and help prepare fresh, seasonal, high-quality food in a professional and supportive environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Working under the guidance of the Head Chef and senior kitchen team, you will help deliver high-quality food experiences across the Club's diverse dining operations. From clubhouse dining and premium à la carte service through to functions and special events, you will support food preparation, service delivery, food safety and the day-to-day operation of the kitchen while continuing to develop your culinary skills.

Availability across weekdays, weekends and public holidays will be required.

THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR

· Preparing ingredients and supporting meal service under the direction of senior chefs.

· Maintaining a clean, organised and food-secure kitchen environment.

· Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and food safety documentation.

· Contributing to a calm, efficient and team-oriented kitchen culture.

· Supporting consistency and quality in food presentation and service.





· Adhering to food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING

· At least one year's experience working in a commercial kitchen.

· Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or currently working towards completion).

· Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

· A proactive, reliable and professional work ethic.

· The ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.

· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and support the needs of the kitchen operation.
