About the Opportunity

Note: This is a 12-month (full time) contracted position

This rewarding role supports young people aged 10-17 who are at risk of offending, entering the youth justice system, or who have been referred for formal diversion under the Northern Territory Youth Justice Act. You will work alongside young people, families, communities and key stakeholders to address underlying issues, strengthen protective factors and support positive life outcomes.

Using a trauma-informed, culturally protected and strengths-based approach, you will provide intensive case management, advocacy, restorative practices, family support, outreach and group-based interventions that help young people build safer and more positive futures.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A qualification in Human Services, Social Sciences or a related field, together with experience working with vulnerable, high-risk or justice-involved young people and families.
- Knowledge of the youth justice, child protection and community services sectors




- Experience applying trauma-informed, strengths-based and youth-focused practice frameworks
- Strong engagement skills and the ability to build trust with young people experiencing complex challenges
- Confidence managing crisis situations and making sound decisions under pressure
- Well-developed administration, report writing and case management skills
- A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
