About the role and team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Treatment Lawyer to join our growing Insurance WA/NT practice based in our Perth office.

Working closely with Anton Vucak and Yih Ling Wong, you will support hospitals, healthcare providers and insurers in the defence of medical treatment and liability claims. This role offers exposure to a broad range of complex and interesting matters, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise, strategic thinking and client relationship skills within a collaborative and supportive team workplace.

Our Insurance WA/NT team has over 95 people located across Adelaide, Perth and Darwin. The team is a leading defendant insurance practice, advising and representing clients across a broad range of insurance matters. This is a fantastic hands-on role with significant learning, development and progression opportunities,



working alongside recognised leaders in the field and some of Australia's top insurers, healthcare providers and organisations.

About you

- You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- between 1-3 years of post-admission experience, ideally within medical negligence, health law, insurance litigation or personal injury;
- experience managing litigation matters and working directly with clients;
- a genuine interest in developing a career in defendant insurance and medical treatment law;
- clear, concise legal writing and drafting skills;
- strong attention to detail and organisational skills;
- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; and
- the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
