Dental Receptionist

High Street Dental Practice – Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo

Part-Time

$33–$38 per hour + super, depending on experience

High Street Dental Practice is looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable Dental Receptionist to join our team in Kangaroo Flat.

This is primarily a front-desk reception position. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, is confident on the phone, can manage a busy appointment book and is comfortable taking responsibility for the smooth running of reception.

As we are a small dental team, the role will also involve assisting with sterilisation and instrument processing when required.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming patients and managing the front desk

- Answering telephone enquiries confidently and professionally

- Booking and managing patient appointments

- Processing payments

- Managing recalls and following up patients

- Communicating with patients regarding appointments and treatment

- Keeping the reception area organised and running smoothly

- Assisting with sterilisation and instrument processing when required

About you

A minimum of 1 year of front-desk reception experience in a healthcare or skilled setting is required.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, confident and professional with patients

- Reliable and punctual

- An excellent communicator in person and over the phone

- Comfortable working in a busy front-desk environment





- Organised and able to manage competing priorities

- Someone who takes initiative and notices what needs to be done

- Willing to pitch in with general practice tasks during busy periods

- Looking for a reliable, longer-term position

Previous dental reception experience is highly regarded.

Experience with Dental4Windows or another dental practice management system would also be an advantage, but is not essential.

Training in our practice systems and sterilisation procedures can be provided.

Hours

Approximately 25–30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours for the right person.

Availability requirement: Applicants must be available to work across our operating hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Hours will be rostered within this window.

This role is not suitable for school-hours-only availability.
