A newly created role within an ASX-listed company with a nationally dispersed workforce. This is a 12-month fixed term position with hybrid working from our office in Melbourne’s CBD.

Key responsibilities:

- Review and assess flexible working arrangement requests, considering legislative requirements, operational needs and relevant internal policies, and prepare clear recommendations and correspondence.

- Support the ER/IR Team with compliance matters, including reviews of employment practices, industrial instruments, policies and legislative obligations.

- Support strategic bargaining activity through the preparation of benchmarking, trend analysis and comparative documents.

- Assist with workplace investigations, including reviewing investigation reports and outcome letters for accuracy, consistency and procedural fairness.

- Maintain accurate and appropriate records of interactions with team members and leaders, advice provided, and case management activities.

- Provide support on complex cases, escalated matters and litigation as required.

- Contribute to excellent ER service delivery through accurate and timely reporting, insights and trend analysis, and recommendations for process improvement.





- Assist with regular updates and briefings on changes in employment and industrial relations law.

- Maintain current knowledge of human resources and industrial relations frameworks, legislation, policy and practice.

Experience required:

- Tertiary qualifications in Law are preferred but not essential.

- Previous experience in a similar role providing ER or IR advice to team members and leaders, with demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation, industrial instruments and Modern Awards.

- Strong knowledge of, and experience interpreting, industrial instruments, including enterprise agreements and awards, HR policies and legislation, and providing practical advice regarding outcomes would be highly regarded.

- Robust analytical capability, including confidence working with Excel spreadsheets, data, benchmarking and trend analysis.

- Sound written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement.
