About the role

QAIAS is seeking a passionate and experienced nurse to join our dynamic team in New Farm, Queensland. This is a full-time or part-time role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders' communities.

What you'll be doing

- Providing high-quality nursing care to patients within our substance use treatment centre

- Conducting health assessments, developing and implementing individualised care plans

- Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver coordinated, trauma informed, patient-centred care

- Promoting health education and supporting clients in managing their own health

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

- Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery

What we're looking for

- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration

- Demonstrated experience in community nursing

- Strong understanding of the social, cultural and health needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport





- Commitment to providing culturally safe and responsive care

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander nurses are encouraged to apply.
