Project Engineer – Major Civil & Earthworks Project (Confidential)

About the RoleOur client is a growing civil contractor with a strong pipeline of recently awarded projects, and they're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of engineering and project delivery on a significant civil construction project. This is a hands-on, site-based role for a Project Engineer who understands earthworks, construction methodology and what it takes to keep a project moving.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage engineering and construction activities across your allocated scope.
- Plan and monitor 3-week look-ahead programs.
- Coordinate plant, materials, subcontractors and procurement.
- Monitor productivity, costs and project milestones.
- Support variations, progress claims and commercial administration.
- Manage quality documentation, ITPs, hold points and NCRs.
- Support site safety, SWMS and risk management.
- Manage RFIs, drawings, registers and project documentation.
- Work closely with the client, subcontractors and site team to deliver a successful project.

Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' solid Australian civil construction experience.
- Robust earthworks experience (essential).
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.




- Previous experience in a site-based Project Engineer role.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodology and sequencing.
- Experience managing subcontractors, procurement, programming and project costs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence and clear Police Check.
- Experience with Jobpac and Expert Estimation highly regarded, but not essential.
