Mundaring Christian College is a thriving non-denominational, co-educational K–12 school, situated in the picturesque Perth Hills across two campuses with a Primary Campus in Mundaring and Secondary Campus in Parkerville, proudly operated by Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are a provider of quality Christian education, dedicated to nurturing the academic and spiritual growth of our students.

We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Food Technology Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This position is a permanent, part time (0.6 FTE) role, commencing 1 January 2027. The successful candidate will develop their students’ understanding of nutrition, food preparation and safety while fostering in them an appreciation for food and healthy living.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Deliver Food Technology courses in line with SCSA standards and relevant education frameworks, including planning, assessment, and reporting.
- Design and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons that build understanding of nutrition, food preparation, safety, and healthy living.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to support diverse learners and collaborate on CAPs and ILPs with Learning Support staff.
- Apply effective classroom management and contribute to a safe, positive, and productive learning environment grounded in Christian values.




- Use a range of assessment strategies, maintain accurate records, and provide timely, evidence-based feedback and reporting (including TASS requirements).
- Contribute to student wellbeing, collaborate with staff, and actively participate in College life, including events and extracurricular activities.

Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement and Educational Objectives.
- Committed to supporting and contributing to the Christian ethos and values of the College.
- Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and curriculum differentiation practices.
- Skilled in delivering engaging Food Technology learning experiences, with a sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and practical kitchen management.
- Highly organised with strong classroom management skills, effective assessment practices, and communication and relationship building skills.
- Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to apply.
