- Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
- Base salary range: $99,040 – $104,669 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

Working across the student lifecycle, the Directorate provides integrated services and initiatives that promote participation, belonging, safety, health, wellbeing, accessibility and positive engagement with university life.

Within this Directorate, Student Health and Wellbeing delivers an integrated continuum of prevention, early intervention, therapeutic support and recovery services. The team leads mental health and wellbeing initiatives, low-barrier student support, primary prevention education, and trauma-informed responses for students affected by gender-based violence and other harmful behaviours.

About the opportunity

- Deliver evidence-informed prevention activities, wellbeing education and training, together with brief, solution-focused counselling and specialist support for students experiencing mental health, psychosocial or safety concerns.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop collaborative safety plans, and facilitate coordinated case management and referrals across University and external services.
- Build the capability of staff and student communities through specialist advice, training and wellbeing initiatives, while contributing to clinical supervision, service evaluation, record keeping and continuous improvement.

About you

- A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education,



training and qualified experience.
- Current registration or membership with a relevant professional body, such as the Australian Association of Social Workers, Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, or Australian Counselling Association.
- Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based brief therapeutic interventions and solution-focused counselling for people experiencing mental health, wellbeing or psychosocial concerns.
- Experience responding to disclosures of harm and gender-based violence, including family and domestic violence, together with demonstrated capability in crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment and safety planning.
- Strong communication, consultation and organisational skills, with experience delivering community education, training or wellbeing programs and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance, and WA Working with Children Check, will be required by the successful applicant.
