Fusion NDT is a proudly Tasmanian owned and operated Non-Destructive Testing company, based in Tasmania, we are seeking to obtain a Testing Technician. We specialize in various forms of Mechanical Testing and Non-Destructive Testing. Our staff's experience dates back to 1998, working in a wide range of industries, including: oil, gas, pipeline, mining, fabrication and power generation. Fusion NDT is an experienced friendly team that strives to provide quality service in an approachable and friendly manner.

Qualifications & experience

- We are looking for an enthusiastic team member with an eye for detail and an interest in engineering and metallurgy.

- Prior experience in NDT is preferred but we will also consider providing the opportunity of training for a candidate with a trade or experience in engineering.

- Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of NDT or related technical experience.

- The candidate must have good planning and communication skills and be flexible with their ability to adjust and perform work under changing priorities.





- The candidate must be able to work unsupervised and be able to recognize opportunities for improvement where available.

- Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Tasks & responsibilities

- Performing Non-Destructive Testing on both new fabrications and in-service plant and equipment.

- The successful applicant will be tasked with completing site inspection duties, encompassing testing/inspections and the reporting of findings.

- The successful candidate will operate within the FusionNDT quality management system, which necessitates performing the required checks and calibrations to meet the standards of a NATA-endorsed testing facility in accordance with ISO17025.
