Senior Clinical Psychologist

- Fixed term: Until December 2027 | Part-time: 56 hours a fortnight
- Location: Box Hill | Amazing cafes, shops and nearby public transport access

About the role

Join the Turning Point Eastern Treatment Service (TPETS), part of Eastern Health, one of Melbourne's largest public health services. TPETS provides specialist treatment and support for people experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) concerns, often alongside co-occurring mental health, cognitive, and complex psychosocial needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with psychologists, medical professionals, allied health clinicians, and community partners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

As the Senior Clinical Psychologist (Grade 4), you will provide expert clinical assessment, consultation, and treatment for clients with complex presentations while contributing to service development, quality improvement, research, education, and professional leadership. This role also includes supervision and mentoring of psychologists, students, and other team members, helping to build capability across the service

This position involves:

- Provide professional expertise and consultation internal and external to the organisation on key issues of a clinical psychology nature including service development, or policy development and procedures in areas requiring expert clinical psychology knowledge.
- Provide high-quality Clinical Psychology consultation, assessment and management to Turning Point Eastern Treatment Service (TPETS) clients
- Provide secondary consultation to staff members and to other agencies in relation to complex clinical issues and psychological presentations.
- Provide professional supervision to more junior psychologists,



postgraduate students and AOD Counsellors

What you'll bring

- Current general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- A Masters or Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and to formulate and implement appropriate evidence-based interventions that are consistent with best practice in Clinical Psychology.
- 10 Years of clinical experience post-qualification (General Registration as a Psychologist).
- Experience in AOD
- A strong commitment to high-quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
