Senior Project Engineer – Major Renewable Energy Project

Location: Rural Queensland (FIFO/DIDO)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major, large-scale renewable energy project in rural Queensland. The project involves significant earthworks, internal roads, drainage, concrete structures and associated civil infrastructure.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Managers and site leadership team, you'll play a key role in driving engineering, technical and construction outcomes. It's a senior role on a project of genuine scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering and technical delivery across the project.
- Provide technical leadership and support to construction teams.
- Manage subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Develop and review construction methodologies, ITPs and technical documentation.
- Monitor progress, quality, costs and technical compliance.
- Support project planning, programming and reporting.
- Manage engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve construction and engineering issues.
- Work closely with Supervisors, Project Managers and the wider delivery team.
- Support the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of works.
- Contribute to project controls, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Strong Australian civil construction experience.




- Demonstrated experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience across earthworks, roads, drainage and/or concrete.
- Experience managing subcontractors and technical deliverables.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality and project controls.
- Sound commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote project environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing project team.
- Experience across renewable energy, wind farms or other major civil infrastructure projects highly regarded.
