Full time Chef — Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, Torquay

Luigi’s Italian Restaurant is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team in a permanent full-time position.

Located on The Esplanade in Torquay, Luigi’s is a busy Italian restaurant operating across dine-in and takeaway, with a strong focus on pasta, seafood, traditional Italian dishes and high-volume service.

This is a genuine full time position for a chef looking for stable, ongoing employment as part of an established kitchen team.

About the role

You will work across approximately 38 hours per week over a combination of lunch and dinner services, including weekends.

Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking dishes to established recipes and standards.
Managing your section during service.
Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.
Completing preparation for service.
Working effectively during busy, high-volume services.
Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards.
Receiving and storing ingredients appropriately.
Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team.

About you





We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
Is confident working independently on a section.
Can perform consistently during busy services.
Is reliable, organised and able to manage preparation effectively.
Works well as part of a team.
Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Is available for a combination of lunch, dinner and weekend services.
Is looking for stable, ongoing full-time employment.

Experience with Italian cuisine is desirable but not essential.
