Sand Ground Engineering (NSW) Pty Ltd is a privately owned Australian company specialising in excavation in sand. Based in Sydney's eastern suburbs, we bring more than 40 years of experience in the piling and civil contracting industry, delivering bulk excavation, piling, shoring, anchoring and dewatering for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across NSW.

We are recruiting for the full time position of Contract Administrator to manage our head contracts, subcontracts and plant hire agreements from tender through to final account.

Key Duties:

· Reviewing tender packages, contract conditions, specifications and geotechnical reports for excavation, piling, shoring, anchoring and dewatering works, and identifying contractual risk

· Preparing tender qualifications and negotiating contract terms and special conditions with builders and developers

· Administering Australian Standard and bespoke subcontracts, and advising project teams on obligations, entitlements and key dates

· Valuing completed work and preparing monthly progress claims under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW)





· Pricing and negotiating variations, and issuing extension of time, delay and latent condition notices within contractual time limits

· Administering subcontract, supply and plant hire agreements

· Monitoring contract compliance, managing bank guarantees and retention, and maintaining contract registers

· Finalising accounts at completion and reporting to management on contract status, cost and risk

Skills and experience required

· Diploma or higher qualification in building and construction, construction management, contract administration, project management or a related field, plus at least 12 months of relevant experience, OR at least 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification

· Experience administering contracts, progress claims and variations on construction, civil, infrastructure or ground engineering projects

· Solid contract interpretation, negotiation and written communication skills

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
