About the role

The Pastry Chef will be responsible for producing high-quality desserts and pastries consistently, while maintaining excellent food safety, presentation and production standards. The role will include both daily venue production and larger-batch production for our growing retail and wholesale range.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and produce Italian desserts, cakes and pastries
Produce tiramisu and other desserts in individual retail portions and larger batches
Prepare gluten-free and vegan dessert options according to established recipes
Follow recipes, portion sizes and production procedures consistently
Assist with the development of recent desserts and seasonal products
Manage pastry preparation and daily production schedules
Monitor stock levels and organise ingredient ordering
Maintain accurate labelling, dating and product rotation
Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate food-cost controls
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic pastry section

About you
Has previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Pastry Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen role




Has strong dessert and pastry production skills
Is confident working independently and managing production
Has excellent attention to detail
Can maintain consistency when producing larger quantities
Understands food safety, allergens and kitchen hygiene
Is organised, reliable and able to work efficiently
Works well as part of a team
Has a genuine interest in Italian desserts and pastry
