About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer for a fully remote position, focusing on building design. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design secure, effective, and innovative structural systems for a wide array of buildings, from residential complexes to commercial and industrial structures. You will work collaboratively with architects and other disciplines, utilizing advanced modeling software to deliver high-quality structural solutions. Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for various building types using state-of-the-art software.
Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculation reports for construction.
Collaborate closely with architectural teams and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, national standards (SANS), and safety regulations.
Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase.




Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients remotely.

Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Skilled registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA is essential.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural design, with a strong portfolio of building projects.
Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Prokon, or similar.
Thorough understanding of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-management skills suited for a remote workplace.
