The Role
Working as part of the tax team, you will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients while providing high-quality compliance and advisory support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance with HMRC and internal deadlines
Preparing tax computations and returns for Manager and Partner review
Reviewing tax work prepared by non-tax specialists
Providing technical support and resolving client tax queries
Assisting with ad hoc tax advisory projects and technical research
Advising clients on tax liabilities and relevant HMRC provisions
Identifying tax planning opportunities
Providing capital gains and inheritance tax planning advice
Managing more complex HMRC correspondenceDeveloping strong and trusted relationships with clients
Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team
About You
Previous experience working within a personal tax role in an accountancy practice
ATT / CTA qualified or currently studying towards, or keen to work towards, a skilled tax qualification
Strong technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills
Commercially aware with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple deadlines
