Locum Medical Officer - Clinical Research | Brisbane | $122 p/h

The successful doctor will work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team supporting participants involved in clinical research studies.

The position will involve a mixture of clinical assessment, participant monitoring and general Medical Officer responsibilities.

The Role

Typical duties may include:
Conducting medical assessments and physical examinations
Reviewing medical histories and investigation results
Assessisting with participant eligibility assessments
Providing ongoing medical oversight and clinical support
Monitoring participant safety
Supporting the management and documentation of adverse events
Completing relevant clinical documentation
Working closely with nursing, medical and research teams
Supporting clinical studies in accordance with relevant protocols and procedures

There is also the prospect to gain further exposure to clinical research processes and develop experience working alongside Investigators and Sub-Investigators.

Requirements

Applicants should have:
Full, unconditional AHPRA registration




Minimum two years of post-registration clinical experience
Strong general clinical assessment skills
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
An interest in clinical research

Previous clinical research experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Doctors coming from hospital, general practice, emergency medicine or other broad clinical backgrounds may be suitable.
