Join an cutting-edge defence company developing advanced signal processing, AI and machine learning solutions for complex sensing and detection applications.
This is a hands-on engineering role combining digital signal processing, algorithms and machine learning. You’ll work with complex real-world data and develop intelligent algorithms that can detect, classify and interpret signals in challenging settings.
The role will be involved across the development lifecycle — from data preparation and algorithm development through to training, testing and deployment of AI/ML models.
Working closely with software and engineering teams, you’ll develop solutions that combine traditional signal processing techniques with up-to-date machine learning approaches.
Key Skills:
Signal Processing / Algorithms:
Signal processing knowledge (digital signals, audio processing, image processing)
Sensor/hydrophone knowledge (sensitivity, directivity)

Machine Learning / AI:




PyTorch and/or TensorFlow experience (and related Python skills)
Experience with data wrangling/hygiene in exotic domains (e.g. acoustic, environmental)
Experience implementing and training bespoke AI/ML models
Familiarity with recent literature/applications or supervised/self-supervised and RL techniques

Software Engineering:
C++ design and implementation skills
Python design and implementation skills
Windows or Linux experience (application programming/deployment)
Visual Studio / VS Code experience (primary IDE)
Git experience
