Bogan Shire Council is seeking a proactive and capable Technical Officer to support the delivery of infrastructure services across the Shire.
Working closely with the Director Infrastructure Services, you'll provide technical, compliance and project support across a diverse range of functions including roads, fleet management, aerodrome operations, environmental compliance, quarry operations and grant-funded projects.

About the Role
As the Technical Officer,



you will provide technical and business support to the Infrastructure directorate, helping ensure Council's operations remain efficient, compliant and well supported.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing technical support across infrastructure projects and operational activities
Preparing management plans, site inductions and technical documentation
Supporting funded projects through grant applications, progress reporting and claims management
Conducting audits and supporting safety and compliance initiatives
Coordinating the development and review of departmental policies and procedures
Managing operational data and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders
Supporting Council's fleet management, contract administration and procurement activities
Assisting with aerodrome, environmental and quarry compliance requirements
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: Grade 6 – $1,****** to $1,****** per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
12% superannuation

What We're Looking For
You will bring:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions
Experience preparing technical documentation, inductions, management plans, audits and compliance reports
The ability to work independently, exercise judgement and manage competing priorities
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
High-level written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems
Experience in areas such as fleet administration, contract management, infrastructure reporting, environmental compliance, quarry operations or similar fields
Certificate IV in Civil Construction Design (or equivalent) with at least three years' experience in a civil, infrastructure or local government environment
Current Class C Driver Licence
Construction Induction (White Card)
Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a visa permitting ongoing employment in Australia
Desirable:
Current First Aid Certificate
Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans accreditation
