Blow Moulding Setter / Technician — up to $55/hr + overtime

$40–$55 per hour + overtime | Melbourne's south-east | Day shift, afternoon considered

If you set blow moulding machines for a living, whatever your title says — setter, technician, leading hand — this one is worth a look.

This is a busy floor. There are mould and die changes most days, and tooling is set up to run across machines, so changeovers are a core part of the job. If you like getting a job up to spec and handing it over running, you'll be at home here.

The money, plainly. $40 to $55 an hour base, depending on what you bring, with overtime paid on top. Saturday work is available most weeks, and it's your choice. It's a 38-hour week. There is also a second position for the right person.

You'll know this work

You'll already know your way around blow moulding machines and be comfortable setting and running them yourself. That includes:
Mould and die changes on extrusion blow and/or stretch blow machines
Set-ups and start-ups — getting the process right and handing over a job that is running properly
Troubleshooting wall section, base, weight, dimensions and cycle, and working out what is actually causing the problem




Material and colour changes
First-off and in-process quality checks
Planning changeovers with production so you know what's coming next

Your experience might be extrusion blow moulding, stretch blow moulding or both. If you're robust in one, apply. The business would rather find the right setter and give you time to learn the other equipment.
